The Brienz Rothorn Railway offers a historic and scenic ride to the summit of Brienz Rothorn Mountain, standing at 2,350 meters. The journey begins in the picturesque village of Brienz, where you board the historic steam cogwheel train, the oldest in Switzerland and one of the last remaining of its kind in Europe, before passing through lush forests and alpine meadows, offering stunning views of the Brienz Lake and the surrounding Swiss Alps.  It has climbed Rothorn Kulm hissing, huffing and puffing since 1892.
